Tom Sawyer 1

This is a good book. I have read it once and listened to it once on tape so this is the second time I'm reading it. Tom seems to have what every boy at that time wanted. And then some more. He seems really smart and clever like a fox. Anyway, at the beginning he gets out of trouble from his Aunt Pollie by using his cleverness. His first real adventure is whitewashing the fence. This shows his amount of cleverness. He tricks boys into paying him so they can wash the fence by telling them that whitewashing is a privilege since you don't get to do it every day. Of course they don't pay him in money. They pay him in trinkets and toys and stuff. But later that night he forgets all of that. He falls in love. Ahhhhhh. Sigh. He doesn't even know her name but he thinks she's really hot. But where I am, at page 43, he just lost a tooth and is talking to the forbidden Huckleberry Finn. Uh oh spaghettiohs.
